1. "Law of the Land": The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. Note: in finding the entire statement of Section 256, I found 7 entries, 5 of the seven omitted, skipped the statement "No repeal of such an enactment is necessary.".
